a-praying-time.jpgIn his new release titled, A Praying Time: Why We Need to Pray Now More than Ever, Daniel Whyte III provides the solution to the many problems that our world is facing, such as: the destruction of the family, unemployment, the worldwide financial collapse, homosexual marriage, as well as numerous natural disasters and global unrest.

In A Praying Time, Daniel Whyte III rallies believers to the all-important work of prayer by first showing seven reasons why this is a praying time, and then showing the importance of Jesus Christ's principle that "men ought always to pray, and not to faint." This book will help readers to open their eyes, clear their vision, and prepare them to take part in the important intercessory work that God expects of all believers. Oneness EmbracedBestselling author and pastor, Dr. Tony Evans discusses why black/white relations in the culture, at large, and in the church, in particular, continue to be a stain on America's respectable reputation in his latest book, Oneness Embraced. Through the pages of this new book, Evans seeks to promote a biblical understanding of the kingdom foundation of oneness by detailing why we don't have it, what we need to do to get it, and what it will look like when we live it.

Fully encompassing areas of unity, history, culture, the church and social justice, Dr. Evans looks to the scriptures for the balance between righteousness and justice that is crucial for applying in this generation and in training the next. A full section on black church history provides a background and understanding that has often been neglected.

I've known Mike since he and his wife, Trisha, arrived at Mars Hill when our church was very small. They immediately began serving faithfully, and Mike became a pastor in 2004. Two issues we continually deal with are sexual abuse and addiction. God led Mike to develop what we call Redemption Group ministry. Over time, this culminated in the Redemption curriculum on which his new book, Redemption, is based. Today, the content of this book is the basis for biblical counseling at Mars Hill and other churches around the world.
